Lady Penny Mountbatten and the British Royal Painter Visted YuYuan•art
On Sep. 10th, Lady Penny Mountbatten and the British royal painter Ralph Heimans visited YuYuan•art. Ms. Guo YuLi, Chairwoman of YuYuan•art, extended a warm welcome to Ms.Penny and Mr.Ralph.
It was the first time for YuYuan to meet the British aristocracts after the meeting with Tourism Consul of Consulate General of Spain in Guangzhou. The two sides had a friendly talk on the international development of art and culture, and issues such as British gentlemanism, noble spirit and inheritance of royal art were deeply discussed.
As a British aristocrat, Ms.Penny greatly appreciated and highly complimented the international art career of YuYuan•art, and expressed her willingness to provide YuYuan•art with more artistic resources from British arictocrats. Meanwhile, she expressed her hope and welcome for YuYuan art’s vistit to London, to promote the development of Chi nese and Western art culture.
Britain has a long history of culture and traditional customs, with noble spirit flowing in the blood of the British gentlemen and ladies.For YuYuan•art, this was an important cultural exchange with British aristocratic art after the exhibit of “Brtish gentlemen ∙ Gorgeous blossom”, which brings new opportunities for the development of YuYuan•art in the international field of art. Lady Penny Mountbatten, grew up in a manor of Whiltshire in the time of Queen Elizabeth and received education at the royal school of Bath and then at the University of La Sorbonne in Paris. She has a personal experience of the traditional British aristocratic life and is passionate about charity.In recent years, she has passed on knowledge about traditional British lifestyle and culture to people around the world.
Australian-born artist Ralph Heimans is the only artist who painted the British Queen on the 60th anniversary of the Queen's accession. In 2012, this portrait of Elizabeth II was exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery of Australia and is widely acclaimed. It is now a permanent collection of Westminster Abbey and is on display at the heart of the Triforium Gallery.
